RentHead asked: So I can’t smile on demand, it doens’t look natural, actaully it looks somewhat creepy. And every year I also end up hating my picture because my smile always end up too big, too small, or just plain weird. Plus I never know what to do with my hair. I’m starting high school this fall and I want one good picture for a change, any advice?
Also, I have braces.

Dєє Lyии asked: I will be taking senior pictures in the fall and I need some advice on how to make my eyes seem lighter and pop. My skin tone is a medium brown color. I’ll attach a photo below for an example. I have eye liner and mascara i just never know how to make my eyes pop with them. any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will try every idea you guys come up with, and will choose the person w/ the idea that turns out best as the best answer.

I want to try taking my own senior portraits. I plan to take them outdoors; I’ve got a tripod and I’ll have to use the timer on my camera because I don’t have a remote. If one or a few of the photos turn out well, I’ll take them to a print shop to have them printed professionally.
So, does anyone have any tips for taking self-portraits, or ideas for poses? (about poses – I’ve looked at the online galleries from a few local studios, so I have some ideas, but not many. I live very near woods a river, if that helps with any ideas.)
And before anyone yells at me, if my pictures don’t turn out as nice as I’d like, I’m going to make an appointment with a local portrait studio. Taking my own senior photos is going to be kind of an experiment. Oh, and I’m not taking my official yearbook photo – I’ll be getting that taken through my school, because all seniors are required to do that.
